Nyla Raja has issued a lengthy response to Sannia Ashfaq amid the growing dispute involving Pakistani cricketer Imad Wasim, rejecting allegations about her marriage, qualifications and personal life while indicating possible legal action.
Nyla addressed the controversy through Instagram, where she shared what she described as legal documents and evidence. She also posted a legal notice concerning alleged defamation and defended her credentials as a lawyer.
Nyla Defends Qualifications And Marriage
Nyla said she completed her law examinations with distinctions before obtaining her licence to practise after meeting the required procedures and tests. She also revealed that she holds an MBA in Finance from Bahria University and rejected suggestions that she gained her qualifications through another person’s influence.
Meanwhile, she denied claims that she contacted Imad first or encouraged him to leave his previous marriage. Instead, she alleged that Sannia initially contacted Imad through Instagram and challenged her to present the complete context of their conversations.
Nyla also asked Sannia to keep their children away from the ongoing dispute. She criticised the alleged use of an account connected to the children to contact Imad and said private family matters should not become public content.
Nyla Rejects Serious Allegations
Nyla further addressed claims involving fertility, her marital history and allegations surrounding a previous pregnancy and abortion. She said medical records and discussions she had reviewed contradicted some of the claims, while stressing that she would rely on documentation rather than social media statements.
However, the medical records referenced by Nyla have not been independently verified publicly. The allegations from both sides therefore remain contested.
Nyla also rejected claims that Imad had abandoned his children, saying he continues to support them financially and maintain a relationship with them.
She concluded by saying she had avoided discussing the controversy because she did not want to attack another woman. However, she said the repeated allegations had crossed a line and vowed to defend her family against claims she considers false and damaging.
