Pakistan’s Noor Zaman defeated compatriot Muhammad Irfan 3-0 on Sunday to secure third place in the men’s singles squash competition.
The match was played at the Nagoya Kinjo Futo Arena.
Zaman Seals Straight-Games Victory
Zaman won the match 11-7, 11-7, 13-11 in 26 minutes.
He dominated the opening two games and took an early advantage over Irfan.

Zaman eventually won the game 13-11 to complete a straight-games victory.
Both Pakistanis Secure Medal Finishes
Both players had already secured bronze medals after reaching the semi-finals.
The playoff therefore decided their final positions rather than their medal status.

The all-Pakistan contest also highlighted Pakistan’s strong performance in the men’s singles squash event.
Zaman Maintains Control Under Pressure
Zaman remained composed during the decisive moments of the final game.
His 13-11 victory completed a 3-0 result and confirmed his third-place finish.
