Tesla could finally be preparing to pull the covers off its long-awaited second-generation Roadster after years of delays.
The electric sports car first appeared in 2017, but its promised arrival has remained uncertain ever since. Now, a new teaser from Tesla has sparked fresh speculation about an October 1 unveiling.
Tesla Hints at October 1 Roadster Reveal
Tesla posted “Go for launch” on X alongside an image displaying the date 10.01.
The cryptic post strongly points toward October 1 as the potential date for the Roadster’s next major reveal. However, the company has not provided further details about what it plans to show.
The teaser also appears to contain a reference to the unusual propulsion technology previously discussed for the sports car.
SpaceX Thrusters Could Add a Wild Twist
The graphic seems to hint at optional cold-gas thrusters that Tesla has previously discussed for the Roadster.
Tesla has linked the proposed system to technology from SpaceX, potentially giving the vehicle capabilities far beyond a conventional sports car.
The technology is expected to deliver extreme acceleration and could potentially allow the car to briefly lift off the ground in some form.
