A newly married man was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Karachiโs Orangi Town. Police believe the case may involve murder disguised as suicide.
According to investigators, the victim was discovered hanging inside his residence. His hands and feet were reportedly tied, while a cloth was stuffed into his mouth.
Authorities also noted visible signs of violence on the body. Consequently, investigators have launched a detailed inquiry into the incident.
Police Arrest Bride in Connection With Case
Police identified the deceased as Hamza, who had recently married a woman named Dua. Their wedding reception was reportedly scheduled for June 18.
Investigators arrested Dua, a former police constable, following preliminary findings. Officials stated that early evidence points toward possible foul play.
According to police, the bride initially informed relatives that Hamza had died by suicide. However, evidence collected from the scene raised serious questions about that claim.
The victimโs father subsequently filed a murder case against Dua and her former husband, Fahad. Authorities are now examining their possible involvement in the incident.
Evidence Collection and Investigation Continue
Hamzaโs brother stated that one hand and one leg were tied when the body was found. Therefore, family members expressed strong suspicions regarding the circumstances of the death.
Crime Scene Unit teams collected forensic evidence from the residence. Furthermore, investigators are reviewing all available leads and witness statements.
Police said multiple aspects of the case remain under examination. They continue to investigate whether the incident was planned in advance.
Officials emphasized that the exact cause of death has not yet been confirmed. The final determination will depend on the post-mortem examination report.
Until then, authorities have urged caution regarding speculation. The investigation remains ongoing as police work to establish the full sequence of events.
