International community once again proved that the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is the most hated criminal in the world.
Dozens of delegates walked out of the United Nations General Assembly Hall as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu began his address on Thursday.
The walkout took place during the 81st UN General Assembly session in New York and highlighted tensions surrounding Israel’s war in Gaza.
Several representatives left their seats while others remained in the hall as Netanyahu took the podium.
Netanyahu criticised the departing delegates and defended Israel’s military actions during his speech.
He also criticised Iranian leaders, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani and governments including Britain and France.
The Israeli prime minister accused Qatar and Turkiye of spreading what he described as false claims.
He also focused heavily on Iran and said its leadership would eventually face opposition from its own people. The speech came as hundreds of demonstrators gathered outside the UN headquarters to protest Netanyahu’s appearance.
Police detained at least 30 protesters, including actors Susan Sarandon and Hannah Einbinder, during the demonstrations.
Meanwhile, Netanyahu’s appearance drew attention to the diplomatic tensions surrounding Israel as he faces an October 27 election.
The Israeli leader also faces an International Criminal Court arrest warrant issued in 2024 over alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Israel rejects the allegations and disputes the court’s jurisdiction.
