The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) conducted a raid on a suspected illegal call centre in Islamabad’s G-9 sector. However, staff members reportedly fled the premises with equipment before investigators arrived.
According to officials, the agency launched the operation after receiving secret information about the alleged illegal call centre. When the NCCIA team reached the location, they found the building empty. As a result, investigators were unable to recover the systems and equipment believed to have been used at the site.
Authorities said the suspected operators had already vacated the premises before the raid began. Consequently, the operation shifted towards examining nearby businesses and digital systems.
Forensic Team Inspects Adjacent Company
During the operation, the NCCIA forensic team also inspected Blue Sky Financial Services. The company operates from a neighbouring building close to the suspected call centre.
Investigators carried out a detailed forensic examination of the company’s digital devices and systems. Meanwhile, officials reviewed available data and operational records to determine whether any unlawful activity had occurred.
No Evidence Found Against Blue Sky
Following the inspection, the NCCIA reported that it found no evidence of illegal activities linked to Blue Sky Financial Services. Officials concluded that the company’s operations complied with legal requirements.
The agency subsequently declared the business fully legal. Therefore, no action was taken against the company after the investigation.
The incident highlights ongoing efforts by cybercrime authorities to identify and investigate suspected illegal call centres. Officials continue to monitor complaints and intelligence reports as part of broader measures against cyber-related fraud and unlawful activities.
