LONDON: Two vehicles belonging to former Pakistani prime minister Nawaz Sharif have been vandalised in London, with their windows smashed and some glass panels removed and stolen, according to a report by Geo News.
A spokesperson for the Sharif family confirmed that the incident occurred two days before the report was published on October 15, 2026. The spokesperson also said this was the third such incident involving vehicles associated with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president in the British capital.
According to Geo News, London’s Metropolitan Police have obtained CCTV footage showing two masked young men removing window glass from the vehicles. Investigators are expected to examine the footage to identify the individuals involved and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
However, authorities have not publicly confirmed the suspects’ identities or established their motives. No confirmed information about arrests has emerged so far.
The latest incident has renewed concerns about the security of vehicles associated with Sharif and his family during their stays in London.
Sharif is currently visiting the British capital, where he has been staying at the family’s Avenfield Apartments and attending medical appointments.
The incident comes against the backdrop of previous security-related episodes involving the Sharif family in London. In July 2018, protesters attempted to enter the family’s Avenfield residence, prompting police intervention.
Similarly, confrontations involving individuals outside Sharif’s family properties and office have occurred in subsequent years.
Police are expected to use the available CCTV evidence as part of their investigation. Meanwhile, the latest vandalism has raised fresh questions about the safety of the former prime minister’s vehicles.
Authorities have yet to announce further details about the investigation or identify those responsible.
