Veteran actor Mazhar Ali has passed away following a prolonged illness

Renowned Pakistani actor Mazhar Ali has passed away following a prolonged struggle with lung disease. His family, currently residing in Canada, confirmed the sad news.

Mazhar was celebrated for his memorable performances in popular dramas such as Aroosa and Afshan, leaving an indelible mark on the television industry with his impressive range across various genres.

His passing has prompted an outpouring of grief from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry, who are mourning the loss of a veteran actor whose contributions to Pakistani drama will be cherished for years to come.

Mazhar Ali’s funeral prayers are scheduled to be held after Maghreb prayers. Sindh Culture Minister Zulfiqar Shah has expressed his condolences, highlighting the impact Mazhar had on the arts.

Born on February 25, 1958, in Karachi, Mazhar began his career with notable dramas like Afshan and Aroosa, quickly becoming a household name. He starred in numerous popular shows, including Shaheen, Kali Deemak, Kaanch ki Guriya, Girah, and Haala, which solidified his status as a beloved actor.

His remarkable talent and dedication to his craft earned him a special place in the hearts of many.

Mazhar Ali took a step back from the showbiz industry in 2006. In recent years, he had been battling heart and lung diseases, prompting him to return to Pakistan from Canada. His legacy as a talented performer will continue to resonate within the industry, ensuring that his contributions are remembered and celebrated by future generations.
