ISLAMABAD: The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) has taken proactive measures by reducing the prices of various essential items in anticipation of the upcoming month of Ramadan. Moreover, reports indicate that additional reductions are expected as part of an upcoming Ramadan relief package.
According to a USC representative, prices have been slashed for several essential products, including various cooking oil brands, tea, ghee, and other commodities. The reduction spans across different categories, with prices of ghee and cooking oil witnessing decreases ranging from four to 100 rupees per kilogram.
The price of an 800-gram packet of branded tea has been reduced by Rs100. These adjustments come as part of USC’s efforts to alleviate financial burdens on consumers during the holy month of Ramadan, when household expenditures tend to increase.
The USC spokesperson has assured consumers that more price reductions are on the horizon, with the implementation of additional measures under the Ramadan assistance package scheduled for next month. This initiative aims to ease the financial strain on households further and ensure accessibility to essential commodities for all segments of society during Ramadan.
By proactively implementing price reductions and planning comprehensive relief measures, the Utility Stores Corporation demonstrates its commitment to supporting consumers and enhancing affordability during the sacred month of Ramadan.
