The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has published a report on joint projects with the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that include 47 health facilities, the Gomalzam dam, and 1300 km of highways.
The USAID report states that they helped build a 120-bed burn unit in Peshawar and repaired 47 health facilities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They also supplied equipment to six hospitals.
The Gomalzam Dam, which turned the 1,92,000 acres of land in Dera Ismail Khan and Taank into arable land, was constructed with assistance from USAID totaling $130 million.
According to the report, the USAID also helped build at least 1300 km of roads, trained more than 14,000 teachers, and gave free books to more than 600,000 kids.
Additionally, the USAID built 229 new schools and gave scholarships to at least 8,000 university students. Additionally, they helped restore more than 1000 terrorism-affected schools, the statement continued.
According to the research, Peshawar underwent the construction of 80 water filtration plants, which assisted more than 1.9 million people in rebuilding their terrorist-damaged homes.
