Trump rules out another run if he loses November presidential election

Former President Donald Trump stated that if he loses the upcoming November 5 election, he will not pursue a fourth consecutive run for the White House, saying, “that will be it” during an interview with Sharyl Attkisson on “Full Measure”.

When asked if he would consider another attempt in four years if his third consecutive bid for the presidency is unsuccessful, the 78-year-old responded, “No, I don’t. I think that will be — that will be it. I don’t see that at all. Hopefully, we will be successful.”

Trump faces a close contest against Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris, with polls indicating a tight race in key battleground states. National polls show Harris beginning to gain ground. Trump launched his latest campaign for the White House in November 2022 after previously running in 2020 and claiming widespread voter fraud following his defeat by President Joe Biden. He is currently facing several federal and state criminal charges linked to his efforts to overturn the 2020 results, though he continues to deny any wrongdoing, framing the indictments as political attacks.

In addition to his political activities, Trump has ventured into various business projects, including Trump Media, NFTs, branded merchandise, and cryptocurrency initiatives.

Meanwhile, Harris, 59, emphasizes the election’s importance for the future of American democracy while focusing on issues such as family costs and affordable housing.

During the interview, Trump remarked that the four-year gap between his campaigns has helped reveal who his true allies are, though he admitted that running consecutively would have been easier. He also stated that it’s “too early” to discuss potential cabinet appointments should he win.
