Total Number of Cases Against PTI Founder Reaches 188 Nationwide

ISLAMABAD: The total number of cases registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has now reached 188 across the country.

This surge in cases follows a report submitted to the Islamabad High Court in response to a petition filed by Imran Khan’s sister, Norin.

Breaking down the cases regionally, Punjab leads with 99 cases against the PTI leader, as per a report by the Ministry of Interior. Islamabad follows with 76 cases, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has two. Additionally, seven cases are under investigation by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), and three more are being examined by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Imran Khan is facing multiple cases related to protests held in October, November, and December. He is also appealing his sentence in the Toshakhana criminal case, which remains pending.

On Thursday, Imran Khan, along with 60 other PTI leaders, was formally indicted in the GHQ attack case. The indictment was handed down by an anti-terrorism court presided over by Judge Amjad Ali Shah.

Currently held in Adiala Jail, Imran Khan was re-arrested by the police in connection with the New Town Police Station case, despite having been granted bail in the Toshakhana case.
