On Monday, the Islamabad police filed a complaint against TikToker for filming on the grounds of the famed Faisal Mosque.
Based on Section 295 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), which deals with “offenses linked to religion” and “injuring or defiling place of worship,” the first information report (FIR) was recorded at the Margalla police station.
As a result of a TikToker’s offensive video purportedly being shot in the iconic Faisal Mosque in the nation’s capital becoming viral, social media users are demanding that she be punished.
The sanctity of the place of worship is violated in the video by a woman who is shown roaming about the mosque without a head covering and posing for the camera in an offensive manner.
After the video went viral, it incited anger among netizens.
