ISLAMABAD: The Sindh government announced Rs1 million in financial assistance for the families of each victim of Hazara Express to support them during this difficult time.
The tragic incident occurred on Sunday noon when the Hazara Express derailed near Nawabshah, resulting in over 30 fatalities and injuries to 50 other passengers.
Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of those whose loved ones lost their lives in the accident. In response to the catastrophe, the Sindh government allocated Rs1 million in aid to provide crucial support to the bereaved families of each deceased.
The government also extended its support to the injured passengers who are currently receiving medical treatment. Those injured in the accident will receive financial assistance ranging from Rs200,000 to Rs500,000, depending on the severity of their injuries.
Murad Ali Shah assured the public that the Pakistan Railway would conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the accident. The government is determined to ascertain the reasons behind the derailment and take appropriate measures to prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future.
He emphasized that the government’s primary focus during this crisis was to rescue and save as many people as possible.
