Tech Innovation is the Mother of Industry – Industrialist Diagnose

There is no industrialization without having Technologists

The President Engineer of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) Hafiz Ihtasham Javed said that Pakistan should produce skilled and qualified technologists to step up the pace of industrialization.

While speaking at a meeting of the FCCI Standing Committee on the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Javed emphasized the need for further improving the industry-academia linkages.

He also highlighted the century’s old concept of appreciating youth opting for medicines and engineering all the while downgrading the fields of technology and other professions, which are deemed necessary to strengthen the industrialization process in any country. He further disregarded such societal values.

He highlighted that the FCCI, along with the IEEE, acknowledged the importance of technologists and was regularly organizing awareness sessions to harness their skills and expertise in addition to elevating their social status.

The FCCI chief added that the textile printing sector had been using basic printing machinery for the past eight years.

“However, still we have to invite technologists from China and European countries for troubleshooting.”

He said.
