Due to the third wave of corona virus outbreak, smart lockdown has been imposed in three sectors of Islamabad while holidays have been declared in schools. Those who do not wear masks will be fined between Rs 1,000 and Rs 35,000.
According to the District Health Officer (DHO), Smart Lockdown is being carried out in F-11, I-8, and I-10 in Islamabad.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad said that section 144 has been implemented for the use of masks, action will be taken against those who do not wear masks.
The district administration has said that section 144 has been implemented for 2 months, violation of which can be fined from PKR1000 to PKR 35000.
On the other hand, the educational institutions in Islamabad have been closed due to corona virus. The holidays have been given from March 15 to March 28.
Officials say the educational institutions where the exams are taking place will remain open.
It should be noted that 29 more people have died of corona virus in Pakistan. During the last 24 hours, 2253 new cases of corona have come to light. On March 14, more than 44,000 corona tests were done.
In the federal capital- Islamabad- 48,081 patients have been infected with the coronavirus so far, while a total of 526 people have lost their lives so far.
