Security forces have killed eight Khwarij militants and martyred two soldiers, including Captain Muhammad Zohaibuddin, during separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) over the past 24 hours. Ongoing sanitisation operations are continuing in the region to eliminate any remaining militants.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation took place on November 30, 2024, in Baka Khel, Bannu District, based on intelligence reports about Khwarij activities in the area. The security forces targeted the militants’ hideout, resulting in the death of five militants and the injury of nine others. During the exchange of fire, Sepoy Iftikhar Hussain, 29, from District Jhang, was martyred.
