An important breakthrough occurred in the murder case of Sarah Inam when her parents choose to represent themselves in court during the trial while also informing authorities of the most recent development.
After a dispute over a “family matter” on September 23, Shahnawaz, the well-known journalist Ayaz Amir’s son, is accused of killing Sarah Inam, the latter’s daughter-in-law.
He confessed to killing his wife after being arrested by police at a farmhouse in Islamabad’s Chak Shahzad neighbourhood for being a suspect in her slaying. He claimed he killed her because he “thought” his spouse was having an affair. Only three months were spent as a married pair.
Sarah’s parents travelled to Pakistan shortly after her daughter was killed to carry out the last rites. She was laid to rest in a neighbourhood graveyard in Islamabad today after her parents arrived.
The victim’s cellphone was discovered by the investigating team, and investigators also obtained her postmortem report, according to the police.
The cause of Sarah’s death will be revealed once the forensic report is received, according to the police. “Sarah’s postmortem report confirmed physical abuse,” they stated.
