Punjab recorded 152 cases of dengue in the past 24 hours, continuing the province’s trend of rising dengue incidence.
The secretary of health for Punjab stated in a statement that during the previous day, 47 instances of the mosquito-borne disease had been registered in Lahore and 71 cases of the dengue virus had been reported from Rawalpindi.
In addition, Gujranwala reported 12 dengue cases, while Kasur, Vehari, and Sheikupura each reported three cases.
According to the Punjab Secretary for Health, 3,437 dengue illnesses have been documented in the province so far this year, with 1,384 of those cases being isolated to Lahore.
He stated that thus far this year, dengue fever had claimed the lives of four persons in Punjab.
As the metropolis of the province, Karachi, reported 349 new cases of the virus the previous day, dengue cases are still on the rise in Sindh throughout the monsoon season.
