The daughter and husband of female reporter Sadaf Naeem, who was crushed to death during Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) long march, have been given jobs by the Punjab government.
Details indicate that Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, the chief minister of Punjab, made the job offer to the grieving family during a meeting at the CM House in Lahore. The Punjab government also presented the family of the female reporter with a cheque of Rs.50 million.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi made an announcement that the daughter and husband of Sadaf Naeem would be given jobs in various government departments.
Although we are unable to bring the dead back to life, we will do everything in our power to care for Sadaf’s family, the Punjab chief minister said.
Pervaiz Elahi expressed his sadness over Sadaf Naeem’s tragic passing. She was a dedicated journalist whose work would be remembered, he continued.
