In addition to the smartphones, the PM unveiled plans to distribute laptops to students. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to bridging the digital divide and equipping the youth with the tools needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Emphasizing the importance of agricultural development, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also announced that students would be sent to China for higher education in agriculture. This move is expected to enhance the country’s agricultural sector by introducing advanced knowledge and techniques from one of the world’s leading agricultural nations.

During the ceremony, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took a moment to celebrate the achievements of Arshad Nadeem, the athlete who made Pakistan proud by winning the country’s first individual gold medal in track and field at the Olympics. The PM’s Youth Programme applauded Nadeem’s efforts.
Shehbaz Sharif concluded by announcing that a comprehensive five-year program focused on youth development would be launched immediately after August 14.
