Eid ul Fitr Greetings

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended their heartfelt Eid ul Fitr greetings to the Pakistani nation and the Muslim world, emphasizing the values of joy, gratitude, brotherhood, and compassion that this auspicious occasion brings.

In his message, President Zardari highlighted the significance of remembering those facing financial hardships, stressing that true happiness lies in sharing joy with others. He urged people to fulfill their religious obligations of Zakat, charity, and Fitrana so that no needy person is left out of the Eid celebrations.

The president expressed his warmest wishes to all citizens, acknowledging Eid as a divine reward from Allah Almighty following a month of devotion, patience, and self-discipline during Ramadan.

He noted that the holy month teaches essential values such as endurance, worship, and compassion for the less fortunate. He encouraged everyone to carry these virtues forward into their daily lives, fostering sincerity, honesty, and love in all aspects of society.

Furthermore, President Zardari emphasized the lesson of unity and solidarity that Eid ul Fitr imparts. He urged the nation to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, extend support to one another, and contribute to Pakistan’s growth and development.

He also prayed for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), expressing hope that they would soon achieve freedom and be able to celebrate Eid in peace. Additionally, he prayed for Pakistan’s progress, prosperity, and continued guidance from Allah Almighty.

In his separate message, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif underscored the challenges facing Pakistan, both from internal and external threats. He called for unity and vigilance to protect the nation’s integrity, urging citizens to reject extremism, hatred, and sectarianism. He stressed that fostering harmony was essential to ensuring the country’s stability.

PM Shehbaz reaffirmed his government’s commitment to economic recovery, peace, and social stability. He acknowledged the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces in combating terrorism and extended solidarity to the families of martyrs who have laid down their lives in defense of the country. He also offered prayers for the victims of the Jaffar Express train incident, expressing condolences to their loved ones.

The prime minister further reminded the nation to keep in their thoughts the oppressed people of Palestine and IIOJK, who continue to struggle for their freedom. He reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for their cause and urged the international community to take swift action to halt human rights violations and ensure justice for these innocent Muslims.

Both leaders expressed hope that Eid ul Fitr would bring peace, happiness, and prosperity to Pakistan and the Muslim world, urging citizens to embody the spirit of the occasion by promoting kindness, unity, and social harmony.
