QUETTA / ISLAMABAD: A tourist from Portugal lost his life in a road accident, in Balochistan’s Chagai district.The authorities are transferring the tourist’s body to Quetta, and they are making efforts to establish contact with the Portugal consulate in Pakistan.
A tourist named Nuno Miguel Vilao Castanheria was traveling on a motorbike to Quetta via Iran when a collision occurred with a pick-up vehicle near Dalbandin at 3 pm on Thursday, resulting in his death. Chagai Deputy Commissioner Hussain Jan Baloch informed about the tragic incident.
The DC further mentioned that the authorities are shifting the deceased tourist’s body to Quetta, and they have also recovered his identity card.
It is reported that the authorities are attempting to get in touch with the Portuguese consulate in Pakistan for further proceedings concerning the 28-year-old deceased tourist.
As stated on Castanheria’s website, Mission Unplug, his intention was to travel around the world on his motorcycle and share the stories with his readers.
His mission began on May 21, with plans to visit 50 countries across the globe, covering a distance of over 85,000 kilometers.
On his website, Nuno Miguel expressed his strong desire to explore and embrace the world to the fullest. With a spirit of independence and determination, he planned to traverse offroad paths whenever possible, fully aware that he would be traveling with a substantial motorcycle and facing the journey alone.
