Dr. Akbar Nasir, the IGP of Islamabad, has prohibited members of the Islamabad Police from uploading videos of themselves in uniform on social media.

He further noted that since doing so harms the reputation of the organisation, police officers are no longer permitted to post social media videos while wearing their uniforms.

All concerned department officers have been advised not to use social media apps or post their videos, especially when wearing police uniforms, according to the notification. It further warned them that any violations would result in harsh punishment.

In related news, the Islamabad Police have taken legal action against the 8,283 professional beggars and 147 handlers they have arrested this year.
