Islamabad: In a significant development, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Atta Tarar disclosed that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had designated Shehbaz Sharif as the Prime Minister and Ayaz Sadiq as the National Assembly Speaker. Tarar shared these insights during a media briefing in Islamabad following the PML-N’s parliamentary party meeting.
During the meeting, Nawaz Sharif was acknowledged for his invaluable contributions to the party and the nation. Tarar also highlighted Shehbaz Sharif’s commendable efforts in steering the country from default risks, earning him praise within the party ranks.
Regarding the nomination of the National Assembly Deputy Speaker, Tarar conveyed that the decision will be made following bilateral consultations with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), underscoring the collaborative approach towards key appointments.
Discussions between the PML-N and PPP intensified on the formation of the government in Balochistan. Noteworthy figures from both parties, including Sanaullah Zehri, Sarfaraz Bugti, Ishaq Dar, and Ayaz Sadiq, convened for a joint meeting to deliberate on the provincial government’s composition.
