Islamabad: PML-N senior leader Tariq Fazal Chaudhry emphasized on Thursday that Pakistan’s internal affairs should not be subject to external interference, addressing the recent controversy surrounding the PTI’s communication with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) regarding alleged election rigging.
In an exclusive interview with Samaa TV, Chaudhry condemned the PTI’s decision to correspond with the IMF, labeling it as detrimental to the country’s interests. He also criticized Barrister Saif’s alleged solicitation for US intervention in Pakistan’s affairs.
Moreover, PML-N’s Hanif Abbasi directed a call for Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the chief of Awami Muslim League (AML), to exit politics during another interview with Samaa TV. Abbasi, having defeated Ahmed in elections four times, refuted allegations of rigging leveled against him by the former Rawalpindi commissioner, Liaquat Chattha.
Abbasi countered the accusations, highlighting that they were unsubstantiated and lacked credibility, especially coming from someone not directly involved in the electoral process. He underscored the importance of unity among political parties in addressing the country’s challenges and navigating through difficult times.
