People snatch 1,000 flour bags in Kasur:
On Monday, individuals at Kot Radha Kishan and Kanganpur seized more than 1,000 flour bags from two free flour distribution points without adhering to the prescribed procedure.
Meanwhile, a group of demonstrators blocked Multan Road in Phoolnagar and protested the administration’s inability to provide flour bags.
At a distribution point in Jamshair Kalan, Kanganpur, people grabbed 280 flour bags.
Despite officials urging them to follow the procedure, individuals, including women, assaulted the truck transporting the bags and took them without authorization.
In front of the municipal committee at Kot Radha Kishan, a group attacked a truck carrying flour bags and stole more than 781 bags.
The concerned patwari has filed a police application for registering a case against the unidentified attackers who took the flour bags.
In Phoolnagar, a large number of people protested and blocked the Multan Road near the Phoolnagar bypass as there was no distribution of flour despite a prolonged wait.
They chanted slogans against the administration, demanding a respectable method for distributing flour to help the underprivileged. Additionally, they expressed their concerns about inflation.
Officials and beneficiaries believe that the primary obstacle was the procedure for obtaining free flour through the mobile phone app, along with long queues and the behavior of distributors and police personnel stationed at the designated points.
