On Saturday, a Chinese company delivered 160 pure electric buses to Pakistan in a ceremony held in Suzhou Industrial Park, China.
The procurement cost for these buses exceeded RMB 150 million, marking the first large-scale introduction of pure electric buses in Pakistan, as reported by China Economic Net (CEN).
Officials from Pakistan, including General Manager Suzhou Higer Qiu Yuanhong, Deputy General Manager Xie Jianghong, Customer Service Director Jiang Haifeng, and General Manager of Overseas Sales, participated in the ceremony.
The previous day, a Pakistani team conducted tests on the buses’ appearance, performance, and other aspects. Higer’s new energy buses currently hold the largest market share in Pakistan, contributing to the country’s efforts toward green and low-carbon transportation.
Since entering the Pakistani market in 2006, Higer has focused on technological innovation to customize high-quality buses that can effectively navigate local climate conditions and complex road situations.
The new fleet of electric buses boasts zero emissions, low operating costs, and minimal noise pollution, aiming to enhance the efficiency of public transportation and improve residents’ travel experiences.
The electric buses have a cruising range exceeding 250 kilometers and utilize advanced cathodic electrophoresis technology, ensuring an anti-corrosion period of over ten years.
In terms of software intelligence, the 160 pure electric buses are equipped with the T-BOX intelligent operation system, capable of real-time monitoring of driver behavior and vehicle operation data to ensure operational safety and passenger travel security.
