Pakistan Army Reiterates Support for Palestinians in 260th Corps Commanders’ Conference

RAWALPINDI: During the 260th Corps Commanders’ Conference held in Rawalpindi and chaired by Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, the top leadership of the Pakistan Army reaffirmed their strong support for the Palestinian people in their struggle against Israel. They expressed concern about the human toll in the ongoing Gaza-Israel conflict, criticizing the disproportionate use of force by Israel.

The Pakistan Army’s stance is that they fully back the Palestinians in their quest for a just resolution to the Palestinian issue and an end to the unlawful occupation of their territories, including sacred Muslim sites. They also noted the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with shortages of food and water, and hospitals facing critical challenges due to a lack of electricity.

The Pakistani government has decided to send humanitarian relief assistance to Gaza in light of the humanitarian crisis. Additionally, the interim federal government in Pakistan has decided to deport illegal immigrants, particularly Afghan nationals, as part of their efforts to address security concerns.

The forum also discussed taking action against illegal economic activities, emphasizing the Pakistan Army’s commitment to supporting the government and law enforcement agencies in combating such activities, including hoarding and smuggling.

The meeting paid tribute to the sacrifices made by security forces and law enforcement agencies in defending Pakistan against terrorism. They expressed a strong resolve to deal with terrorists and their supporters who aim to destabilize Pakistan.

Lastly, the forum reiterated the Pakistan Army’s commitment to defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan against all forms of direct and indirect threats. They also pledged their support for government initiatives aimed at reviving the economy and emphasized the importance of maintaining high professional standards and motivation during operations and training.
