Pakistan achieves a significant jump of 14% in the United Nations’ trade facilitation rankings

ISLAMABAD: The United Nations reported that Pakistan’s global ranking in trade facilitation has shown a remarkable 14% jump in 2023.

Due to the implementation of multiple reforms and automation initiatives, with special emphasis on the Pakistan Single Window system.

In the South Asia region, Pakistan has been ranked the second-best in terms of the efficiency of International Trade, surpassing Bangladesh (64.52%), Sri Lanka (60.22%), Nepal (58.06%), Maldives (55.91%), and Afghanistan (43.01%).

Pakistan registered one of the biggest jumps in the world in terms of progress. With more activities in the works, the future indeed looks promising.
