On Friday, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has severely denounced the shooting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former prime minister Imran Khan during the long march.
In a statement, OIC strongly denounced the attempted murder and said all forms of extremism and terrorism should be punished.
The forum declared that, in the event that Pakistan is threatened, it stands firmly in solidarity with Pakistan and its people.
The nation’s political elite and people all across the world immediately condemned the attack on the former prime minister.
Former president Asif Ali Zardari, FM and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and others have also condemned the attack.
Attack
Imran Khan, a former prime minister and current head of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), as well as other PTI officials, were hurt after a shooter opened fire close to the PTI receiving camp at Allahwala Chowk during the party’s long march.
A party employee or official was killed in the incident, while several others were hurt, according to PTI leader Faisal Javed Khan, who was hurt in the assault.
