The federal government has decided to not include 18 departments while increasing the salaries by 25 percent.
“There will be no increase in salaries of employees of departments receiving extra allowances”.
Finance Ministry said.
The departments mentioned here include the employees of the Presidency/Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the Senate, and the National Assembly.
Finance Ministry further stated that the salary of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Health Department, National Accountability Bureau, High Court, Islamabad Police employees will not be increased.
Moreover, the salaries of employees of Motorway Police, Airport Security Force, Intelligence Bureau, Parliamentary Affairs Division and the employees of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will also not receive any raise in their salaries.
Since these departments are already receiving some form of allowances, therefore the employees who are already receiving 100% ad hoc relief will not receive the current increase.
While explaining the reason for this segregation, the Finance Ministry said that the current increase will be only for those employees who are not getting additional salary or performance allowance equal to the basic salary.
