Maulana Tariq Jamil – The Upcoming clothing Brand

Almighty put this thought in my head to start a business and use that money to run the Islamic institutions.

The news of Maulana Tariq Jameel starting his own clothing brand has made headlines. The brand’s name is actually the initials of Maulana’s name ‘MTJ’. Making the news official Maulana Tariq Jameel turned to social media and posted why he launched the brand, Maulana said,

“The thought first came to me in 2000. I always wanted to run the madrassa without using zakat money. But I couldn’t find enough resources for it. So, when the pandemic happened, the Almighty put this thought in my head to start a business and use that money to run the Islamic institutions. That was my intention and a few of my friends collaborated with me. Hence, we launched a brand with my name.”

Maulana said the intention of launching the clothing brand is not competing with other brands to make profits rather the sole reason for this idea is to use revenues in flourishing the seminaries owned by him.

Previously, Junaid Jamshed, a renowned singer turned cleric, after leaving the music industry started the clothing brand with his name. His business flourished across borders and still growing even after his death.
