The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a reduction in the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for March, providing relief to consumers amidst ongoing economic challenges. The notification issued states that the price of LPG has been decreased by 80 paisas per kilogramme.
Furthermore, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder has been reduced by Rs9.51 per kg. As a result, the new price for the domestic cylinder stands at Rs3,030, down from Rs3,039 in February.
This reduction in LPG prices is expected to positively impact household budgets, particularly for those who rely on LPG for cooking and heating purposes.
In contrast, the government has increased the price of petrol by Rs4.13 per litre while maintaining the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) for the next fortnight. The Finance Ministry issued a notification stating that the price adjustment for petroleum products will be effective from midnight until March 15. Consequently, the new price of petrol stands at Rs279.75 per litre, and HSD remains at Rs287.33 per litre.
This recent adjustment in petroleum prices reflects the ongoing fluctuations in global oil markets and highlights the need for consumers to adapt to changes in fuel costs.
