Karachi Airport Attack
A woman arrested in connection with a recent attack near Karachi airport has made startling revelations, shedding light on the significant role women played in facilitating the assault.
The interrogation report of the arrested suspect, Gul Nisa, obtained by Aaj News, outlines details of her involvement and exposes the participation of over six other women in aiding the attackers.
Gul Nisa disclosed that Shah Fahad, also known as Sarfraz, was one of the key figures behind the attack. She alleged that he had pressured her to wear a suicide vest, but when she refused, she was forcibly removed from a vehicle as punishment.
According to Gul Nisa, women played critical roles in the logistics of the operation. She revealed that a woman personally delivered a bag containing a Kalashnikov rifle to Shah Fahad.
Other women supplied ammunition, grenades, and cotton packed with explosives. The suicide vest, a central component of the attack, was also delivered by a woman identified as Shahing, who handed it over in a bag.
Gul Nisa recounted that after these preparations were completed, Shah Fahad brought her to Karachi.
She claimed to have made repeated attempts to sever ties with him, including changing her phone number to escape his reach. However, he managed to track her down each time and insisted on her involvement.
The report further details that Shah Fahad regularly contacted Gul Nisa and instructed her to meet him at various locations, including the Hub Chowki area. He reportedly used a black car to travel to these meetings.
These revelations have highlighted the complex and coordinated efforts behind the attack, as well as the unexpected involvement of women in operational roles.
The investigation continues as authorities work to uncover the full extent of the network involved and prevent similar incidents in the future.
