In a case involving the violation of Section 144 in the federal capital on August 20 during the party’s rally, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Murad Saeed has been granted interim bail by an Islamabad district and sessions court.
Details indicate that Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal of the district court in Islamabad heard Murad Saeed’s request for an extension of interim bail.
The sessions judge listened to the arguments, prolonged the PTI leader’s interim bail until October 12, and also sent notice to the police.
Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and former prime minister who was charged with violating Section 144 was granted bail on September 30 by a second district and sessions court in Islamabad.
The action was only filed as retaliation, Imran Khan’s lawyer claimed at the hearing. The court responded by saying that the prosecution must show proof before any charges can be brought against the former prime minister.
Imran Khan, the chairman of the PTI, was granted bail by Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal after hearing the reasons.
