In Islamabad, a second armed robbery targeting a bank occurred today, resulting in one death and several injuries. The incident took place in Sector G-9/4, where robbers attacked an Askari Bank vehicle delivering cash to a nearby National Bank branch.
Reports indicate that the assailants, wearing helmets, opened fire on security guards before fleeing with a bag of cash. Two security guards and three employees from a nearby hotel were injured in the crossfire, with one hotel employee later succumbing to their injuries at PIMS hospital.
This robbery follows a similar incident yesterday in Sector G-15, where a security guard was killed during a bank heist. Additionally, in Sector I-9, a bank van was targeted by gunfire, resulting in injuries to another security guard.
