Ishaq Dar repeatedly brought the nation to financial ruin, according to Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan on Thursday.
Khan hollered through the loudspeakers as he addressed a thronging assembly in Muzaffarabad, “If we accepted him passively, then we’d be no different than lambs and goats.”
Dar, 72, has been in charge of the nation’s financial and economic affairs for the last four times. His appointment comes at a time when disastrous floods have claimed the lives of over 1,600 people and devastated homes, crops, highways, and train networks, bringing the total number of losses to over $30 billion USD.
The chartered accountant, now in his fourth year of employment, is dealing with a balance of payments crisis, insufficient foreign reserves to cover imports for even one month, historic lows for the rupee, inflation rates above 27%, and the fallout from disastrous floods.
Khan then informed his allies that PTI has now engaged organising [their nationwide protests] and will issue a call to the people very soon.
During his ferocious address in front of the public, the PTI leader also blasted the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC).
“The CEC of Pakistan is electoral fraud. The nation will not forgive him.”
