Imran Khan: “Establishment Leading Pakistan Toward Destruction”
Former Prime Minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan, currently detained in Adiala Jail, shared his perspective on recent issues during an informal conversation with journalists.
Khan expressed that he is not concerned about the arrest of General Faiz, asserting, “I am not afraid at all about the arrest of General Faiz. If I were afraid, I wouldn’t have publicly called for a judicial commission.”
He criticized the recent reference against him, which he claims was initiated following comments by the chief justice on November 23. Khan accused the establishment of leading the country to ruin by appointing incompetent individuals and harming both the nation and its institutions.
The PTI leader also highlighted the financial impact of the recent social media and internet ban, estimating a $5 million loss. He suggested that the truth regarding allegations from PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif and related accusations against his party could be clarified through the Economic Survey of Pakistan. Khan advised PTI MNAs Atif and Junaid Khan to refrain from public commentary on the issue and instead meet with the anti-corruption committee for further clarity. He added that he does not need a phone to communicate with party member Zulfi Bukhari, as legal representatives are available for such matters.
Khan noted that the installation of jammers in the jail has complicated communication, making it difficult for him to use mobile phones.
