IIA: Pakistan Customs Seize over 100 Smuggled iPhone 14, MacBooks worth over Rs50 million

Pakistan Customs officers foiled an attempt to smuggle over 100 iPhone 14 mobile phones, MacBooks, and other electronic devices at Islamabad International Airport (IIA) on Thursday.

Three passengers arrived at IIA on a Pakistan International Airline (PIA) flight from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, according to the customs officers (UAE).

Beenish Rasheed, an assistant collector for customs, and her group took the step because they had a feeling of suspicion.

The officers found electronic devices in the bags of three arriving travellers that were valued at about Rs50 million.

Twelve MacBooks, 37 laptops, and 106 iPhone 14s were packed in the luggage. In addition to that, the passengers allegedly tried to conceal iPads, Apple Watches, and AirPods.

An investigation has been started, and all things have been seized.
