HYDERABAD RED ALERT: Over 200mm of rain expected

The second-largest city in Sindh is anticipated to receive up to 200 millimeters of rain during this monsoon.

While suggesting preventive steps, local authorities requested that store owners retain sandbags to protect their establishments.

The owners have been instructed by the district government to make specific provisions for the safety of godowns and industries.

Furthermore, for the next two days, traders must close their doors at 3:00 pm.

Deputy Commissioner Fuad Ghaffar Soomro has appealed to the people to stay indoors as much as possible.

In order to avert business losses brought on by the urban flooding, he also instructed the merchants to lay sandbags outside their stores.

Additionally, the DC has instructed personnel from the Water and Sanitation Agency and other relevant departments to maintain a state of high alert while on the job.
