On Friday, a Green Line bus in Karachi crashed into a footpath while saving a child that had wandered onto its track.
Green Line Bus Accident
The accident occurred at Nagan Chowrangi and caused significant damage to the front of the bus.
The accident injured several passengers, and they had to escape through the windows of the bus.
The driver also sustained injuries in the accident.
The accident disrupted the flow of traffic under the Nagan Chowrangi flyover.
The officials announced the Green Line Bus project in Karachi in July 2014.
And they laid the foundation stone for the 17.8 km long track from Surjani to Guru Mandir on February 26, 2016.
Each bus can accommodate between 200 to 250 passengers, and the route comprises 23 stations located on each km.
And covers a distance of 22 kilometres from Surjani to the Municipal Park near Jama Cloth market.
Former prime minister Imran Khan inaugurated the project on December 10, 2021.
The service began limited operations for citizens on December 25, 2021.

Passengers can avail of the facility from 11 stations located in Surjani, Abdullah Chowk, Do Minute Chowrangi, Power House, Nagan Chowrangi, Jumma Bazar, Haideri, Board Office, Nazimabad Number One, Sanitary Market, and Numaish.
