In a New Year’s move, the Pakistani government has announced a significant hike in toll taxes for motorists using national highways and motorways, effective January 5, 2025. The National Highway Authority (NHA) will implement the revised toll rates, impacting a range of vehicle categories.
The new toll rates are as follows:
National Highways:
- Cars: Rs60
Motorways:
- M1 (Islamabad-Peshawar): Rs500 (previously Rs460)
- M3 (Lahore-Abdul Hakeem): Rs700 (previously Rs650)
- M4 (Pindi Bhattian-Faisalabad-Multan): Rs950 (previously Rs850)
- M5 (Multan-Sukkur): Rs1100 (previously Rs1050)
- M14 (Gwadar-Hakla): Rs600
- E35 (Hasan Abdal-Havelian-Mansehra): Rs250
Toll Rates by Vehicle Type on National Highways:
- Vans: Rs100
- Buses: Rs200
- 2 & 3 Axle Trucks: Rs250
- Large Trucks: Rs500
Toll Rates for Large Trucks on Motorways (M1, M3, M4, M5, M14, and E35):
- Large Trucks: Rs5550
