French football star Kylian Mbappé has officially signed with Champions League winners Real Madrid, a move confirmed by both the club and the player.
“A dream come true. I’m so happy and proud to join my dream club, Real Madrid,” Mbappé shared on social media, accompanied by childhood photos of himself with the club, including one featuring Cristiano Ronaldo.
Real Madrid also released a statement, confirming a five-season deal with the French star.
“Nobody can understand how excited I am right now. I can’t wait to see you, Madridistas, and thank you for your unbelievable support,” Mbappé added.
The 25-year-old World Cup winner joins a Madrid squad already rich in talent and still celebrating their latest European triumph. Just two days earlier, Madrid secured a record-extending 15th European Cup title by defeating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the Champions League final in London.
Mbappé made his farewell appearance for PSG in the French Cup final on Saturday, contributing to a 2-1 victory over Lyon. Although he didn’t add to his club-record 256 goals, teammates Ousmane Dembele and Fabian Ruiz scored to ensure the win.
This signing marks a significant milestone in Mbappé’s career as he joins the team he has long admired, fulfilling a lifelong dream. His arrival is set to further bolster Real Madrid’s already formidable lineup, promising exciting times ahead for both the player and the club’s supporters.
