KARACHI: The medico-legal report to examine allegations of sexual assault in a case of minor girl rape confirmed on Tuesday that a girl who was affected by the floods in Karachi’s Clifton was gang-raped.
The flood-affected girl was allegedly gang-raped on Monday in Karachi’s Clifton neighbourhood by two unidentified men. The young girl was kidnapped from outside a mall in Karachi’s Clifton Block 4 while she was living in a flood relief camp.
Later, at 2:00 pm, the girl who had been affected by the flood was discovered there. Her condition later declined, and she was sent to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC), where the medical staff there confirmed that she had been “gang-raped.”
Governor Sindh seeks report from AIG
Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori ordered a report on the gang-rape case of a young girl from a flood-affected Family in Karachi on Tuesday.
According to details, the governor sought a report regarding the gang rape of a young girl who lived in a posh area of Karachi and was a member of a Flood Affected Family.
He also gave the additional inspector general Sindh (AIG) orders to arrest all of the individuals responsible for this act, as soon as possible. Such a terrible crime has no place in our society, and those culprits do not deserve any kind of forgiveness.
The governor gave the hospital administration orders to give the young girl the finest medical care possible.
Earlier, after media reports put pressure on the police force to arrest those responsible for the gang-rape of a young girl in Clifton who comes from a household impacted by flooding, Karachi police sprang into action.
After hearing in the media that a young girl had been gang-raped in an upscale neighbourhood of Karachi, South police sprang into action and spent the next 24 hours gathering evidence from the scene.
