First-ever Free women bus service launched in Pakistan

GILGIT: A first-of-its-kind project has seen the start of a free bus service for women solely in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The pink bus service, which was launched by Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) Khalid Khursheed, would run on four important routes in Gilgit and Skardu between the hours of 6:00 am and 9:00 am and 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.

According to a statement from the chief secretary, a women-only bus service will be advantageous for female students, teachers, doctors, lawyers, and other professionals.

The chief secretary of the area, Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, stated that further cities will also receive the service.

“Traffic police have also been instructed to facilitate these buses on roads,” he Continued.
