Balochistan: The Frontier Corps (FC) North, in collaboration with various law enforcement agencies, carried out a successful anti-smuggling operation in Balochistan, resulting in the seizure of 21 vehicles transporting illegal goods.
During the operation, authorities intercepted a wide range of contraband items, including battle nets, tires, cigarettes, and large quantities of textiles. These items were handed over to customs authorities for further investigation and legal proceedings.
The operation was met with resistance from smugglers, who attempted to block the national highway and engage FC personnel in a firefight. FC troops neutralized the threat and restored public access to the route.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the smuggling network had been using hidden routes to transport restricted and taxable goods across regional borders. The operation successfully disrupted this organized smuggling operation.
FC Balochistan officials reaffirmed their commitment to combating illicit trade. A senior spokesperson stated, “Our agencies remain on high alert and prepared to counter such illegal activities, ensuring the safety and security of the region.”
