Fazl asserts that govt lost control in KP and Balochistan due to increasing lawlessness

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), stated on Monday that the government has lost its authority in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan due to escalating lawlessness, making life and property unsafe for residents, as reported by The News.

Speaking at the Jamia Arabia Naumania Salihiya in Dera Ismail Khan, the JUI-F leader expressed concern over the declining public trust in the state and its institutions, emphasizing the importance of their integrity and stability.

Fazl called for immediate action to address these issues, urging the need to avoid further mistakes that could lead to severe consequences.

He later spoke to the media, reiterating that abolishing the interest-based financial system is not only a key aspect of the JUI-F’s manifesto but also a foundational principle of Pakistan’s ideology. He assured that this goal would be achieved within the designated timeframe, promising economic benefits that would lead to national prosperity.

Reiterating his party’s dedication to safeguarding Islamic values and democracy, Fazl affirmed that the JUI-F would confront dictatorship with unwavering resolve and protect the mandate given by the patriotic citizens of Pakistan.

During his visit to the religious seminary, he met with Sheikhul Hadith Maulana Ashraf Ali and other scholars, praising their contributions to Islam and Pakistan.

Senior JUI-F members, including Engr Maulana Ziaur Rahman and Kafeel Ahmad Nizami, were also present.

Local party leaders and religious scholars warmly welcomed Maulana Fazl upon his arrival at the Darul Uloom Naumania and commended his role in the 26th constitutional amendment.

He also visited the home of long-time member Abdullah Shahjehan, who is currently suffering from paralysis, and offered prayers for his swift recovery.
