Workers at textile mills in Faisalabad took to the streets on Tuesday to protest the nonpayment of their wages for the previous three months.
Numerous textile mill employees demonstrated against the last three months’ worth of salaries that had been withheld from them.
The protesting employees assert that the factory owner shut the gates when they arrived at their worksite and that they had not received pay for the previous three months.
One of the staff members said they claimed the security officers forbade them from entering. The demonstrating workers cried as they protested, “We are unable to pay our dwelling rent.”
The irate employees resolved to block the Jhamra and stage a demonstration until their unpaid salaries were made.
