Disturbing New Developments Emerge in Fatima Murder Case

KHAIRPUR: In the wake of the tragic death of young maid Fatima, troubling new details have emerged about the case.

It has come to light that Fatima’s parents were allegedly coerced into accepting a settlement of Rs 20 million. Sources indicate that the owner of a private school played a crucial role in facilitating this deal. According to the agreement, the parents received an initial payment of Rs 1.5 million, but the remaining funds were withheld due to complications with the accused’s bail.

The accused reportedly paid Rs 0.15 million each to key witnesses afterward. Following these developments, Fatima’s mother submitted an affidavit requesting a change in their legal representation.

There are now discrepancies between the statements made by Fatima’s parents to the court and to the media. Initially, the father denied any intimidation and vowed not to forgive the perpetrators. However, he later suggested that their relatives had dismissed his statements, hinting at possible external pressure or influence.

The incident, which gained widespread attention in August 2023 after CCTV footage of Fatima’s suffering went viral, has led to the arrest of several individuals, including Pir Asadullah Shah, Pir Fayyaz Shah, Hina Shah, and Imtiaz, in connection with the crime.
